Hello, thank you for visiting our blog.

First of all, we would like to introduce ourselves. We are two students of Early-Years Teachers Training, Nieves and Irene. We are making a project, part of the subject “Social Sciences”.

Social Sciences are a combination of different subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Human Geography or History.

This last one, History, is the study of the past events, its causes… There are several methods to research and look for information. One of them is the Oral History method, which we are going to use for this project.

The topic we have chosen is the Olympic Games Barcelona ’92. We find that this is a historical event in our country that we couldn’t live because were too young or not even born. For this reason we are going to ask to some relatives so they can explain us how did they live that moment, if it was special… One of them lived in the city of Barcelona in those days, so he experienced this event in a very closed way. Our other narrator lived in Madrid and his vision of this Olympics was probably more influenced by the social media, television, radio, etc.

As a complement of the information gathered in our interviews, we will also include other materials along the project, such as videos, pictures and news about this moment of the sport’s History.
